Our Story

Established in 2021 as ‘Selby Aesthetics’ we have since grown into our own space and rebranded to ‘The Face Base’. Our focus is to provide a warm and welcoming, independently owned cosmetic injectables salon located in the heart of Applecross. We place immense importance on the use of the total face assessment to create a unique treatment plan for each and every client.

Selby is the proud owner/director of The Face Base.

“I grew up on a 6000 acre wheat and sheep farm in a small country town in the WA Wheatbelt. I am now 30, I have a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from Curtin University and I have been a registered nurse for just over 10 years.

I worked at St John of God Murdoch for the first 2 years of my career, mostly in oncology and palliative care. I then completed a Post Graduate Degree in Cosmetic Nursing and I have been a full time injector for just over 8 years.

I am very passionate about total face assessments and consultations as I like to figure out what is driving people to get cosmetic procedures.

I love travelling, having done trips through America and Europe in my younger years. But if I am not at work, you will find me most likely camping along the coast of WA, at the beach or at the gym!”
